Boulder Underground athletes run the Chicago Marathon

Boulder Underground was well representing at the Chicago Marathon this past weekend.

Early Sunday morning on October 13, Lydia Hochstein, Mary Higgins, Julie Harris and Danny Gordon all ran around the streets of Chicago.

Lydia ran her PR, running 2:57:37. Mary ran a solid 3:16:01. Julie was just off her PR, running 3:16:37. And, Danny ran his debut marathon and accomplished his goal of breaking four hours, running 3:41:51.

I need some time to process today’s race. 💔 For those asking: It was not what I know I am capable of. However, this training cycle was tough. My new work schedule meant lots of headlamp running and little sleep. I also had a major personal loss that I am still working on accepting. It took a lot to even get to the start line and I had to dig deep to find the finish line. Thank you for all your encouraging messages. I know I’ll be back even stronger for the next one. Love you all! ❤️
